DIASTEMA CORRECTION OF PERIODONTAL DISEASES FOLLOWING PERIODONTAL THERAPY ALONE

Introduction: An acquired diastema may be a warning sign signaling advanced periodontitis. Gingival inflammation, reduced bony support, and tooth mobility contribute to the drifting of teeth, condition called pathologic migration, formed gap or space between two teeth more. Identification causative factors involved in migration is crucial for successful treatment. Case Management: 1 - A 38-year-old woman reported Department Periodontics with chief complaint bleeding gums. intraoral examination revealed highly inflamed periodontal tissue heavy plaque calculus deposition. And case 2 34-year-old had an increasing her maxillary anterior teeth. After clinical radiographic examinations, patient was diagnosed chronic periodontitis gingival enlargement, pathological diastema. In 1, performed scaling, root planning, curettage. Re-evaluation after month reduction visible inflammation persistence pockets complete closure spacing lower incisive. 2, gingivectomy, gingivoplasty. Re- evaluation 3 months there upper incisors. Conclusion: These cases indicate that migrated sometimes return their original positions etiologic factor has been eliminated such as attachment loss, overgrowth
